With the Dragon Balls once again spread across the face of the Earth, the gang has split to pursue new adventures. While Bulma, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar struggle through the desert after their plane crashes, Goku flies to Master Roshi's island to learn martial arts, but another boy is also anxious for lessons. Will Master Roshi agree to train them?

While in town on an errand to prove their worth to Master Roshi, Goku and Krillin rescue the young woman Launch.They bring her back to Roshi's island where they discover her mysterious and enigmatic situation. On one hand, she is a sweet, mild-mannered brunette who wouldn't hurt a fly. But wait till you see her sneeze!

Master Roshi takes Goku and Krillin to begin their martial arts training on a jungle island. Krillin cheats to beat Goku in the heated rivalry and wins, but soon has to pay a heavy price for his actions.
