Raditz, an evil alien space fighter, arrives on Earth, totally disappointed to find that his brother Goku has not completed his mission to destroy the human race. Raditz confronts Goku and shocks everyone by revealing that Goku is really Kakarot with amnesia! When Goku refuses to accept his heritage and attack the Earth, Raditz kidnaps Goku's son Gohan and commands Goku to destroy 100 Earthlings by the next morning to save his son's life.

邪恶的外太空战士拉蒂兹来到了地球，结果极度失望地发现他弟弟悟空竟然还没完成毁灭全人类的任务。拉蒂兹找到了悟空，并道出了一个让所有人大吃一惊的事实：悟空其实是得了失忆症的卡卡罗特！在悟空拒绝接受自己的身世和攻击地球的任务之后，拉蒂兹绑架了悟空的儿子悟饭，并命令悟空第二天一早之前杀掉100个地球人来换取他儿子的性命。

Still reeling from the shock, Goku suddenly finds help from an unlikely source...his arch-enemy, Piccolo! Despite their differences, they both realize that they must team up if they want to have a chance against Raditz. However, once their battle against the Saiyans has begun, it becomes obvious that, even together, they are not powerful enough to challenge Raditz!

就在悟空依旧惊魂未定之际，他竟然从自己的头号敌人短笛那儿获得了一份意想不到的帮助。抛却了二人的对立，他俩都意识到要想有机会对付拉蒂兹，就必须联合起来。但直到与赛亚人正式开战之后，他俩才明显发现，即使二人联手，仍然不够实力挑战拉蒂兹！

It seems that Gohan is even stronger than his own father. Gohan gives a hard blow to Raditz, one he's never felt before. Raditz is weakened by Gohan's burst of power, allowing Goku to grab Raditz in a bear hug. In the most fierce battle, it seems that Goku must sacrifice his own life to destroy Raditz and save the human race!

Piccolo summons an extra powerful blast named the Special Beam Cannon to finish off Raditz, but his attack also ends Goku's life. Before Raditz dies, he tells Piccolo that two other Saiyans who have even greater power are heading for Earth and will arrive within the year! While Piccolo begins to develop Gohan's incredible powers, Goku travels through Other World to visit Martial Arts Master, King Kai, to get superior training from him in preparation for the upcoming battle against the Saiyans!

短笛运起了他的超必杀魔贯光杀炮来结果拉蒂兹，但他的攻击同时也结束了悟空的性命。拉蒂兹在临死之前告诉短笛，另外两个更为强大的赛亚人正朝着地球赶来，而且一年之内就会到达地球！在短笛开始发掘悟饭惊人潜力的同时，悟空正穿越另一个世界去拜访武术大师界王，希望能在他那里接受超凡的训练，为即将来临的与赛亚人的大战做好准备！
